Procedures for delivering a package

  1. Delivery
    1. Deliver all packages as instructed to the consignee or a responsible representatives at address location provided on the DHL Same Day job. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should a package be delivered to an alternate location, left with a security guard or in a mailroom without obtaining prior approval from DHL Same Day.
    2. Never leave a delivery in a mailbox! Federal law prohibits mailbox deliveries.

  2. Proof of Delivery
    Communicating POD information is part of our service expectation. The following POD information is required:
    1. Signature name, time and date.
    2. Location of person who signed for package
    3. Verification of pieces and weight

  3. Provide charges
Your charge/s for the service should be provided at the time the airline air waybill or POD is given. All charges should be included and separated (attempt charges, waiting time, extra weight charges).

In the event charges are not provided when the service is provided, you will have 24 hours after the job has been completed provide the charges.

Service failures on the part of an agent will be reviewed and may result in a no charge on the job.

DHL Same Day recognizes the following days as Holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
